About Modarhem

Modarhem is a Saudi accounting and ERP platform — built in Riyadh, hosted in Frankfurt, designed Arabic-first for the merchants of the Kingdom.

Why we built this

Most accounting software in the Arab world is one of two things: an English-first foreign product with a translated UI, or a local product that works but feels stuck in 2010. Saudi merchants deserve neither compromise. They deserve software that thinks in Arabic from the first line of code, that knows ZATCA Phase 2 isn't optional, that understands a Saudi business runs on a Saturday-first week and Hijri-aware dates.

Modarhem started in 2026 as a small project to fix one specific frustration: a friend running a small clinic in Riyadh was paying for three different systems — one for invoicing, one for inventory, one for ZATCA — and reconciling them by hand at month-end. We thought: this should be one system. Then we noticed the same pattern in a coffee shop, a clothing boutique, a small construction subcontractor. So we built it.

The platform you see today is the result. Not finished — software is never finished. But every feature is built because a real Saudi merchant needed it, not because a competitor had it. That's the only quality bar we trust.

We're a small team. We answer our own emails. When you write to [email protected], the person who reads your message is the person who can fix what you're describing — sometimes within the hour, sometimes shipped to your account by tomorrow morning. That's the version of customer support we'd want as customers, so that's the one we offer.

What we believe

Four things we won't compromise on, written down so you can hold us to them.

Arabic-first, not Arabic-translated

RTL is the default. Arabic is the primary language. English is a first-class fallback for expat staff. Both are tested. Neither is an afterthought.

Compliance is a feature, not an excuse

ZATCA Phase 2, PDPL, GOSI, HRSD — these are the laws our customers live under. We don't surcharge for compliance. We treat compliance as the default — not an upsell.

Honesty over polish

Our security page lists what we don't encrypt and why. Our refund page tells you exactly when refunds are denied. We'd rather be uncomfortably honest than smoothly evasive.

Long-term, not VC-cycle

We are not optimizing for a 5-year exit. We are building the system we want to use ourselves in 20 years. That changes the decisions: less feature-bloat, more careful architecture, a price that makes sense for the merchants we serve.

Founded by Saudis, for Saudis

Modarhem is built and run from Riyadh by Saudi founders. Our team understands the Kingdom's regulatory environment from the inside — not from a translated PDF. The platform is hosted in Frankfurt because that's the closest GDPR-aligned region for low-latency Saudi traffic. All data stays in named subprocessors disclosed in our Privacy Policy; no transfers to non-disclosed third parties.
