Restaurant and café accounting + POS system for Saudi Arabia
A Saudi restaurant or café needs more than just a POS: kitchen display screen (KDS) to send orders to cooks, tables + reservations, recipe management for cost calculation, recipe-linked inventory, ZATCA e-invoicing compliance, payroll and GOSI for staff. Modarhem brings all this into one tenant. Foodics is strong on restaurant POS but lacks deep accounting and advanced manufacturing — you need to integrate a separate accounting product. Modarhem builds both layers together.
What's different about restaurant POS vs retail POS?
Restaurant POS needs: kitchen display screen (KDS) routing items to cooks the moment the order is placed, table management (open/close/split/merge), multiple seatings per table, bill-split between diners, advance reservations, order queues for fast-service, customer-facing display. Modarhem covers all of these.
Does the product support recipe costing?
Yes — you define a recipe for every menu item (ingredients + quantities + cost). When the item sells, the system auto-deducts ingredients from inventory and posts the actual cost of goods sold (COGS) to the journal entry. Per-item actual profitability appears in POS Analytics reports.
What about a multi-branch restaurant chain?
Modarhem supports multi-branch end-to-end — each branch keeps its own inventory, sales, and cashiers, with branch-level P&L reports. You can move inventory between branches via transfer notes, and centrally see the whole picture. Branch-scoped role access is on the roadmap.
Does the POS integrate with Saudi delivery apps like ToYou or Hungerstation?
Modarhem currently exposes a REST API for manual order ingestion from delivery apps. Direct ToYou / Hungerstation / Jahez integrations are on the roadmap, dependent on partner-API availability. Until then, delivery-app orders can be entered as a "customer account" tagged for separate reporting.
How do you handle payroll + GOSI for part-time and full-time cooks and waiters?
The HR module covers: part-time / full-time staff, monthly or hourly wage, automatic GOSI calculation based on nationality and basic salary, end-of-service settlement, annual / sick leave, and check-in/check-out via the POS terminal itself (shifts).
How is a Modarhem digital menu different from a generic QR menu?
Modarhem digital menus are tied to the POS — when an item runs out of stock, it disappears from the menu automatically. The customer orders directly from the menu, the order appears on the kitchen display, and inventory + journal entries update on confirmation. Not just a PDF behind a QR code.
